Description
The Patek Philippe 982/178G is a one-off pocket watch made in 2015 to commemorate the 175th anniversary of the brand. It features a hand-engraved repousse caseback depicting a father and son in nineteenth-century Geneva. The decoration required more than 200 hours of work using the repousse technique. The relief image was shaped from three thin superimposed sheets of gold (0.25 mm), so that the white gold figures emerge from the chased yellow gold city scene.
