Description
The white-dialed Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch Apollo XI 25th Anniversary is an enigmatic watch. The regular version, with black dial, was the first Omega Speedmaster to feature a mission patch at the 9 o'clock subdial. It was introduced in 1995 and thus pre-dated the Missions box set and subsequent sale of loose watches from said set.
The present watch however features a white dial with tritium markers. Apart from its reverse colours, it is identical to its black sibling. At the OmegaMania auction it was stated that it was first sold in the year 2000, which seems correct judging by its movement number 77020712 - however, this is too late for a tritium dial.
