Description
The Montblanc 1858 Geosphere Limited Edition 1858 is a limited edition of 1858 pieces introduced in 2018. It features a bronze case of 42mm, which is fitted with a bronze-coated titanium back and a rotating bezel with a ceramic inlay. It is motivated by the self-winding caliber MB 29.25, which features rotating globes at 12:00 and 6:00, a second time zone at 9:00, and a date window at 3:00.
Reference 117840 is fitted with a brown 'sfumato' aged calf leather Bund strap with beige stitching coming from the Montblanc Pelletteria in Florence. Reference 119347 is identical but fitted with a more conventional cognac-coloured aged calfskin strap with beige stitching. The limited edition number of 1858 is for the both of them combined.
Movement
Caliber MB 29.25 is based on the Sellita SW300, fitted with an in-house module that features a worldtime complication with two turning domed hemisphere globes, which make a full rotation in 24 hours. The northern hemisphere at 12 o'clock turns anticlockwise, while the southern hemisphere turns clockwise. They are both surrounded by a scale with the 24 time zones, along with a day/night indication in contrasting colors.
