Description
The Breitling Navitimer 806-36 first appeared around 1970. Instead of the Venus 178 commonly found on the 806, it is powered by the Valjoux 7736 - a cam-operated chronograph movement said to have been used because of shortage of supply of the Venus movement. As such it was produced in relatively small numbers. Most, if not all, examples encountered feature the larger size subdials. It was available up to the end of the original Breitling company in 1978-1979.
The pictured watch has undergone a full service at Breitling and lost its original dial in the process; please send us your pics if you own an original version!
