Description
The Tourbillon Pour le Merite was one of the original 4 models introduced in the earliest days of the modern A. Lange & Sohne, as visualized by Gunter Blumlein as a way to make a statement - A. Lange & Sohne would from now on be playing at the highest levels of horology.
A total of 50 pieces of the Tourbillon Pour le Merite were created in platinum, of which 46 in the 701.005 configuration.
Movement
Handwound movement with tourbillon escapement and power equalization with chain and fusee. It was one of the movements (and with the Pour le Merite, watches) that was introduced as the first collection of the resurected A. Lange & Sohne in 1994. The concept was created by Gunter Blumlein while Giulio Papi worked on the chain & fusee mechanism.
